YOU ASKED IT: SHOWER VS. RAIN JACKET

Does showering after sex prevent STIs?

We’re glad you asked. While lots of people like to shower after sex to feel clean, if you shower, douche (a bad idea no matter what!), or wash your genitals, it won’t do anything to prevent STIs. The best way to keep yourself from getting infected? Get tested, and use a condom correctly every time.
